Congress Debating a Tax Break for Your Mustache?

As if there weren’t more pressing issues for congress to deal with, they bring you The STACHE ACT (Stimulus to Allow for Critical Hair Expenses). Seriously, you cannot make this stuff up! The proposed bill comes from the office of Maryland 6th district U.S. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (Republican). The interesting thing is the bill was submitted by a Bartlett Staffer without the Congressman’s Consent. The bill is aimed at providing a $250 annual tax deduction for expenditures on mustache grooming supplies.

File under totally ridiculous. Way to go Congress, good to see you rolling up your sleeves and tackling the tough issues of our time!
